SUSTAINABLE COPPER RECYCLING CENTER (SCORE)
The natural characteristics of copper make it one of the most important materials in the modern world and indispensable for transformation. The Sustainable Copper Recycling Centre (SCoRe) in Osnabrück supports and accompanies forward-looking processes and solutions.
At KME, copper and copper-containing materials are recycled from scrap metal, electronic scrap, industrial waste and process residues in a resource-saving, energy-efficient and low-emission manner. The goal: to close the resource cycle, minimise environmental impact and, at the same time, ensure economically sustainable and socially responsible metal recycling. The key factor here is that the cleaner and therefore higher the recyclable metal content, the lower the melting costs and higher the added value.
The KME SCoRe Centre in Osnabrück supports these processes in order to recycle copper of the highest quality with a significantly reduced carbon footprint – not only for our customers' products, but also as a valuable contribution to decarbonisation, raw material security and a functioning circular economy.
